SAI Series sealed Optic Linear Encoder Scales are protected from dust, chips and splash fluids and are ideal for operation on machine tools. Aluminum housing and elastic sealing lips protected the scale, Scanning carriage and guide way from chips, swarf, dirt and splash water the scanning carriage travels in a low-frucation guide within the scale unit. It is connected to the external mounting block by a coupensates unavoidable misalignment between the scale and the machine guide ways. Sealed linear encoder's are available with full-size scale housings for higt resistance to vibration up to 12000mm measuring length.
